What is Puzzle Pursuit?
Imagine Balboa Park as a huge escape room. Small teams (2 to 5 people) receive a packet of clues that will lead them to various locations throughout the park. At each location a puzzle must be solved. Puzzles utilize building facades, signs, plaques, statues, and many other aspects of the park. An overarching story will unfold through the puzzles. Strategy plays an important role in a team’s success. Lower point quests may only take 15 minutes to complete, but a more difficult, higher point quest may take 30.

How Long Does Puzzle Pursuit Last?
Typically a Puzzle Pursuit can last anywhere from 2 to 5 hours. It really depends on what you have in mind. We try and build each individual quest to last 20 to 30 minutes. So a 2 hour event may have 5 or 6 different quests.
How Many People Can Participate?
Puzzle Pursuit can scale quite easily and accommodate anywhere from 30 to 100 or even 200 people. We are happy to work with your group to make something work for you.
Describe a Typical Event
A typical event may start about 10 AM and can start either at your place of business or at the location of the event, such as Balboa Park. The first puzzle will involve all the teams in one place and teams will have to interact with one another and share information in order to unravel the initial quest. With an answer of some sort in hand, teams will scatter from the initial location and have to find a second location where they will pick-up their game packet. From there teams are off on their own to solve quests, but will always have a central location to return for help if needed.
Can We Include Lunch During the Event?
Companies may arrange whatever type of catering they would like during the event. Often times some sort of box lunch is a good alternative, allowing teams to pick up their lunch whenever they want and eat on the go or sit and enjoy. We can also provide a custom, final puzzle that sends teams to a specific location where some sort of meal has been prearranged.
Is The Event Customizable?
Certain aspects of the puzzles can be customized to include elements of your business if you would like. We can also create entirely custom puzzle events encompassing many aspects of your business.
